Ballistic Missile Defense Joint Warfighter Support

The Ballistic Missile Defense Joint Warfighter Support program, managed by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), provides technical support to Combatant Commands, Military Services, and the Joint Staff. This initiative focuses on developing, testing, and supporting the operational aspects of the Missile Defense System. It fosters collaboration between Warfighters and the MDA to identify capability gaps and enhance system attributes through modification requests. The program ensures continuous global operational support, including system verification and validation.

The Joint Warfighter Support Test component is dedicated to supporting Missile Defense System Wargames and Exercises. It enables Warfighters to plan and conduct exercises that assist in developing and deploying new missile defense capabilities. This component also supports Table Top Exercises to refine operational concepts using low-fidelity demonstration models and simulations. The goal is to integrate Combatant Command requirements into a comprehensive test plan that aligns with strategic objectives.

Cyber Operations within this program focus on verifying and validating cybersecurity products used within the MDA infrastructure. This involves ensuring these products have current Evaluated Assurance Level certifications and are listed on the Department of Defense's Approved Products List Integrated Tracking System. The objective is to maintain robust cybersecurity measures across all MDA operations, complying with federal information security standards.

Program-Wide Support includes non-headquarters management functions essential for MDA operations across the Missile Defense System. This encompasses support for global deployments, facility capabilities, security measures, audit readiness, STEM programs, legal services, training, and facility maintenance. The aim is to ensure operational integrity and oversight while adapting to evolving threats through technological development and evaluation.
