Army Direct Report Headquarters - R&D encompasses two key projects: Project FJ2, which focuses on improving the Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program, and Project M65, which supports the testing of Army Modernization Priority Programs. Project FJ2 specifically funds critical research to enhance the SHARP program with a focus on prevention. The research aims to explore the nature of sexual harassment in the Army, identify organizational costs related to harassment, and recommend effective prevention strategies. Additionally, it examines behavioral patterns in military sexual assault cases and conducts assessments to evaluate training and prevention efforts related to sexual assault. On the other hand, Project M65 provides funding for the management functions and technical direction of the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) mission at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. ATEC plans, conducts, and integrates developmental testing, independent operational testing, independent evaluations, and assessments to provide essential information to Soldiers and acquisition decision makers supporting the American Warfighter.
