Veterans Integrated Service Network 1 Engineering Services (VISN 1 ES)

Provide professional engineering services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers located in VISN 1, which includes facilities in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The work involves planning, design, and construction period services for various facility projects related to construction, maintenance, and repair of infrastructure and real property.

Contractors will perform a range of services including architectural and interior design, civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Additional services include industrial hygiene, cost estimating, master planning, fire protection, materials testing, and security system designs. Building information modeling (BIM) and other specialized studies such as archeological, environmental, and historical planning may also be required.

The selected firms must have licensed professionals across multiple disciplines, including architecture, structural engineering, and environmental/industrial hygiene, among others. Projects may involve new facilities or renovations, with task orders potentially reaching up to $5 million. Services will be performed at various VA Medical Centers across New England.
