Description

Provide services required under the Veterans Intake, Conversion, and Communications Services (VICCS) program including Centralized Source Material Tracking Services; Intake and Conversion Services; Inbound Mail Management Support Services; Rules-Based Processing Services; and Centralized Outbound Services. Annually, the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) receives more than 14 million documents from Veterans, dependents and/or their representatives submitting claims, necessary correspondence and evidence to receive compensation and pension benefits. These documents consist of more than 1,000 different types, and the intake channels for these documents include paper mail and faxes as well as electronic uploads. The VBA Compensation and Pension Services embarked on a journey to dramatically reduce mail processing times so that mail is handled the same day it is received and benefits can be received faster.
