Description

Provide Integrated Design, Test and Evaluation (IDT&E) in the areas of: Naval Architecture; Marine Engineering; Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR); Wide Area Surveillance; Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Detection and Protection; Human Systems Integration (HSI); Marine Fire Safety; Search and Rescue; Maritime Law Enforcement; Oil Spill/Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Response; Aids to Navigation (AToN) and Waterways Management; Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Mitigation; Sensor Performance Analysis; Alternative Energy; Aviation; Unmanned Systems; and mission performance in the Arctic environment.

Work will be performed on behalf of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Research and Development Center (RDC), which is the USCG’s sole facility performing RDT&E in support of the major missions of Maritime Safety, Security, and Stewardship. The RDC’s efforts span the entire spectrum of USCG maritime interests including; ports, waterways, and costal security; drug interdiction; aids to navigation; search and rescue; living marine resources; marine safety; defense readiness; migrant interdiction; marine environmental protection; ice operations; and other law enforcement activities. The RDC also supports USCG acquisition and regulatory processes with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of USCG operations and resources.
