Description

Provide Architect-Engineer (A&E) Professional Environmental Restoration and Compliance Services at all NASA Centers.
Work under the vehicle includes: technical consultation; review of historic records and performing interviews to identify areas where contaminants may have been released to the environment; confirmatory sampling; investigations; development of conceptual site models; human health and ecological risk assessments; sampling various environmental media using current industry-standard sampling techniques and sampling tools in accordance with Federal, State, or local laws and regulations; groundwater modeling; demonstrated experience with chlorinated solvents, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and other contaminants of concern (COCs); remediating and/or provide long term management of affected environmental media (air, soil, soil vapor, sediment, groundwater, surface water) including operating, maintaining, and monitoring of treatment systems and treatment technologies (ex-situ and in-situ); performing remediation construction oversight; maintaining and inspecting post-closure landfills; munitions and explosives of concern investigations; performing land use control inspections; preparing plans, designs, and reports; preparing permit applications and providing permit modification support; providing public meeting support with regulatory agencies, the public, and other stakeholders, as required; and providing risk communication support.
