Medical Repair and Renewal Design-Build Construction VII (MRR DB)

IDIQ

Description

Provide comprehensive design-build services for the repair and renewal of medical facilities under the Medical Repair and Renewal (MRR) Program. This involves executing major repairs and minor construction projects that address architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, security, and safety needs within government medical facilities. Contractors will be tasked with evaluating problem areas, recommending solutions, and implementing work plans efficiently while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing medical operations.
The work will require extensive knowledge of medical facility operations, including equipment, support systems, and building structures. Contractors must adhere to infection control processes and comply with Joint Commission requirements for construction in occupied medical facilities. Projects may range from reconfiguring single rooms or functional areas to extensive renovations of hospital wings, including repairing or replacing systems and components and constructing new ones. Key personnel must hold relevant certifications, such as the American Society for Healthcare Engineering construction certificate.
The program will be executed across diverse locations within the Contiguous United States (CONUS) and outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS), including Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and various international sites. The goal is to provide a rapid response to medical facility needs, ensuring that all work is completed cost-effectively and within negotiated timelines.
