Language and Interpretation Support Services (LISS)

Provide comprehensive language and interpretation support services to facilitate effective communication for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) during immigration processes. The contractor will deliver interpretation services for various types of interviews, including affirmative asylum interviews, credible fear screenings, and reasonable fear interviews. Additionally, translation services will be provided for documents and materials required by USCIS.
Contractors will also monitor interpretation sessions to ensure accuracy and compliance with service standards, utilizing technology platforms such as Microsoft Teams for remote interpretation services. Quality control processes will be implemented to maintain high standards in service delivery. The contractor must be prepared to handle increased demand during mass migration events or other surges in service needs, ensuring accessibility across different time zones.
Services will be performed at various locations across the United States, including USCIS Asylum offices and DHS facilities. The contractor's sites may include telework locations, and performance will also occur at government-designated facilities. Compliance with confidentiality standards during interpretation tasks is mandatory, ensuring the protection of sensitive information throughout the service delivery process.
