Comprehensive Landing Gear Integrity Program (C-LGIP)

The C-LGIP will develop and execute objectives for landing gear systems (to include antiskid and brake control systems) utilizing AFI63-101/20-101 Integrated Life Cycle Management, MIL-STD-1530 Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP), and MIL-STD-1798 Mechanical Equipment and Subsystems Integrity Program (MECSIP). Air Force ASIP and MECSIP requirements specify that structural and functional integrity be maintained for the life of the aircraft to ensure Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) of the weapon system. The primary objectives for C-LGIP are to establish tools and technical data necessary to ensure integrity throughout the system’s remaining operational service life; and to ensure appropriate supply chain spares life measures are being taken to provide optimal service to the using commands for following weapon systems: B-52, A-10, B-1, F-16, B-2, F-35, E-3, KC-135, LC-130, C-130, T-38, F-15, and F-5.
