Original Description
Odc's/other. Work performed includes Fuel Handling and Integration Test (FHIT) system control and data acquisition, engine testing, and testing diesel engines for durability and performance issues. Additional tasks involve providing fuel samples and testing services, upgrading and fabricating FHIT systems, supporting gas turbine combustor design and fuel combustion effects in modern jet engines, and high-level software design. The effort includes assisting in labeling fuel additives with fluorescent taggants, probe piping removal, fabrication and installation, pac sense scd for gas chromatography, and establishing plans for experimenting with viable modeling techniques to support the Navy's mobility fuels rdt&E program.
