SA-NVR-DARPA-ACO-JANUS-2024
Overview
Sub Description
The janus program related task areas fall into four categories. Task area 1, intelligence and mission capabilities, involves collaboration with
intelligence partners and deep technical analysis of existing capabilities and technical gaps to generate requirements for, guide development of, and
integrate diverse cybersecurity and cyberspace operations capabilities to address challenging cybersecurity mission scenarios on aggressive timelines.
Task area 2, architecture, involves development of a purpose-built platform to enable distributed developers to rapidly collaboratively conduct analysis,
software and capability development, and test and evaluation, at all security levels, and to enable secure and resilient connectivity between development
and analytic environments and operational customers. Task area 3, applications, encompasses development of a suite of software tools and a pipeline to
ingest data from multiple sources, tag, track, and store that data, and serve it to multiple applications, and develop applications including software
development environments, cyber data analytics, advanced modeling and simulation for cybersecurity and networks, and command-and-control. Task
area 4, mission integration, executes test and evaluation of technologies developed under task areas 1-3, including work with test ranges, integration
into DOD exercises and experimentation events, collaboration with operational customers including uscybercom, other cocoms and services, and
other US government partners, integration into DOD all-domain warfighting concepts, and development of supporting documentation, training,
conops, and other materiel required to enable technology to transition to operational use.
