Lha 9 advance procurement supports the acquisition of Long Lead Time Material (LLTM), pre-fabrication activities, and Detail Design and Construction (DD&C) for the lha 9 amphibious assault ship replacement, an america class flight 1 ship. Includes procurement and integration of critical ship systems and components such as valves, pumps, compressors, generators, control panels, switchboards, fire detection systems, deck fittings, propulsion and auxiliary systems, boat handling equipment, and electrical distribution units. Additional tasks involve engineering and design activities, technical manual development, and updates to command, control, communications, Computers, And Intelligence (C4I) systems including network and enterprise services baselines. The scope also covers fabrication, installation, and testing of shipboard equipment and systems required for the construction and delivery of lha 9.
