Spectrum AEC will develop and deliver work to assist Iowa State University on the subject of Advancing Building Information Modeling for Infrastructure through the following tasks: 1.Task 1: Kickoff meeting participation 2.Task 2a: BIM definition and marketing material. Review and provide comments on the outreach plan. A series of marketing materials will be developed to support the advancement of BIM for Infrastructure with a vision to accomplish two main objects. The first objective is to develop content that would facilitate a common and better understanding of all that is BIM for the U.S. transportation industry, to include the vision of BIM for Infrastructure, and to make a case for having a more strategic and intentional deployment. The second objective is to categorize aspects of BIM in terms of readiness for deployment and particularly emphasizing those that are market ready by elaborating on reasons for their readiness. 3.Task 2b: BIM for Infrastructure technologies information for Task 3 workshop. Develop a document of existing/emerging technologies with BIM for infrastructure that are readily available for implementation. Including graphic design. 4.Task 3 Strategic Roadmap Workshop: Participate in the 1.5 day workshop to develop a draft FHWA National Strategic Roadmap for deployment of BIM. 5.Task 4 Development of marketing documents and case studies: Multiple case studies and marketing materials to support future deployment activities for BIM for Infrastructure will be developed, including one tech brief, one white paper and one case study
