Sub Description
"below, specific personnel and activities that will be funded through fhia S project budget are listed, and include relevant notes on technical areas to be covered, geographic areas of concentration, and otther items of importance:  provision of technical support services to fintrac S overall acceso objective of improving the incomes of honduran rural households to move them out of extreme poverty and under-nutrition, inclusive of short- and long-term personnel. It is anticipated that the subcontractor will provide technical assistance in the form of both long-term and short-term personnel over the estimated life of project to carry out the scope of work as provided for in the rftop.  based on usaid guidance on priority geographic areas, subcontractor support will primarily be in those geographic areas in which it has or has recently had a strong presence and established relationships with local governments, communities, and rural households. This will be finalized during the early stages of program start-up. Specific target municipalities and aldeas will be determined based on their levels of poverty and extreme poverty, degree of food insecurity, and level of malnutrition, as well as their potential to diversity and improve productivity of agricultural crops (including but not limited to availability and adequacy of water/land, topography and agronomic conditions, market access, and willingness and ability to adopt new agricultural practices and technologies). Note that there may be some geographic overlap with other staff from other subcontractors under acceso. It is expected that fhia field-based and geographically-targeted activities will directly impact 5,000 client farmers and 500 other msmes in the form of increased productivity, incomes, nutrition, and overall livelihoods.
