The County of Natrona, Wyoming is seeking qualified contractors to provide turnkey replacements of four existing make-up air units at the Natrona County Detention Center. The goal of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to ensure the County receives clear proposals that outline the costs and scope of work involved in replacing aging mechanical equipment that serves the kitchen facility's ventilation and pressurization needs.
Work Details
Contractors are required to replace four existing make-up air units (MUA) Reznor Model RPBL 500-8-S-MV-H with new equipment of equal or superior performance. The selected contractor will be responsible for:
1) Verifying existing conditions, including unit dimensions, roof curb compatibility, ductwork configuration, gas piping, and electrical service capacity.
2) Equipment selection that matches or exceeds current performance specifications such as airflow (CFM), heating capacity (BTU/hr.), filtration level, supply air temperature control, and outdoor air intake configuration.
3) Demolition and removal of existing units while ensuring proper utility protection and disposal according to environmental regulations.
4) Installation of new units including necessary modifications to electrical service, gas piping, condensate drainage, and control wiring.
5) Integration with existing building automation systems or standalone controls as required.
6) Performing startup procedures, providing on-site training for facility staff, and delivering operation & maintenance manuals and warranty documents. All work must comply with local codes and standards.
Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to begin on May 20, 2026, following the proposal evaluation process which concludes with a notice of award on May 5, 2026.

The work will be performed at the Natrona County Detention Center located at 1100 Bruce Lane, Casper, Wyoming.
