One Fire Rescue Type 6 Wildland / Brush Fire Apparatus (Cheyenne Fire Rescue)

Background
The City of Cheyenne Fire Rescue is seeking proposals from qualified fire apparatus manufacturers for the design, manufacture, and delivery of one Type 6 Wildland Fire Apparatus. This apparatus is intended for wildland fire suppression, rural firefighting, and initial attack operations. The specifications provided outline the minimum acceptable requirements for the apparatus.

Work Details
The contract includes the design, manufacture, and delivery of one (1) Type 6 Wildland Fire Apparatus. Key specifications include:

- Delivery by August 31, 2026, including final inspection by four Cheyenne Fire Rescue personnel and operational training for department personnel.
- The apparatus must be new and unused, compliant with NFPA 1900 standards.
- It should have a four-door commercial crew cab chassis suitable for off-road operations, a turbocharged diesel engine with a minimum displacement of 6.7L, and an automatic transmission with at least 10 speeds.
- The vehicle must include a minimum 300-gallon polypropylene water tank with internal baffles and a tank fill tower.
- An auxiliary diesel-powered fire pump with a minimum performance of 50 GPM at 250 PSI is required.
- The body must be constructed from stainless steel designed specifically for fire service use and feature weather-resistant compartments with adjustable shelving.

Period of Performance
The contract period will extend until the delivery of the apparatus no later than August 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years' experience producing similar fire apparatus and provide proof of compliance with NFPA standards. They must also maintain authorized service support within a 100-mile radius of Cheyenne and provide at least three references for similar apparatus delivered within the past five years.
