Description
Background
The City of Rawlins, a Wyoming Municipal Corporation, is seeking bids for the 2026 Sage Creek Pipeline Cathodic Protection Rehabilitation project. This initiative aims to enhance the integrity and operational lifespan of the Sage Creek Transmission Pipeline (SCTP) through advanced corrosion prevention and control measures.
The SCTP delivers water from the Sage Creek Springs and Nugget Wellfield to the Atlantic Rim Reservoir, which is critical for local water supply.
Work Details
The project involves comprehensive corrosion mitigation services on the SCTP, including:
- Conducting a thorough corrosion assessment of the pipeline, including CP potential surveys and continuity testing.
- Repairing identified continuity issues, potentially involving joint bonds installation.
- Performing an influence study and current requirement testing for the pipeline.
- Assessing and recommending a replacement deepwell impressed current CP anode system and a complete test station layout.
- Installing joint bonds where necessary, with specific materials and methods outlined (e.g., #2 HMWPE or larger).
- Installing approximately 53 test stations mounted on treated wood posts with rigid conduit.
- Installing one deepwell with associated infrastructure including a new rectifier and junction box.
- Detailed reporting of as-found and as-left pipeline potential CP data, as-built documentation for deepwell and test stations, GPS locations, and CP calculations based on industry standards.
Period of Performance
The work is expected to be substantially completed within 90 days after the Effective Date of the Contract and fully completed within 180 days.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed along the Sage Creek Transmission Pipeline located in Rawlins, Wyoming.
