Background
The West Virginia Department of Tourism is soliciting bids on behalf of the West Virginia Independence Hall Museum, located at 1528 Market Street, Wheeling, WV 26003. The purpose of this contract is to establish an open-end agreement for elevator maintenance services, which includes preventative maintenance, inspections, corrective maintenance, repairs, replacement parts, and installation of new devices and equipment.
Work Details
The contractor will provide continuous Elevator Maintenance services that include:
1. Preventive Maintenance: Monthly inspections of all elevators to ensure safe and proper operation. This includes checking controllers, pump units, belts, door operators, safety devices, and emergency lights. The vendor must also clean the car top and pit and maintain hydraulic fluid levels.
2. Corrective Maintenance: Responding to service calls within specified time frames (2 hours for non-emergency and 30 minutes for emergencies). All corrective work must be pre-approved by the Agency.
3. Parts and Materials: Vendor is responsible for procuring necessary parts with prior approval from the Agency. All parts must be new and from authorized suppliers.
4. Emergency Entrapment Services: Must arrive on-site within 30 minutes to free trapped passengers in elevators.
Period of Performance
The initial term of this contract will be for one year (365 days) from the date of award with the possibility of renewal for up to three successive one-year periods upon mutual written consent.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must have experience maintaining elevator systems similar to those used by the Agency within the last five years.
