Medical Licensure / Records Database Maintenance System

Background
The West Virginia Department of Administration, Purchasing Division is issuing this solicitation as a request for proposal (RFP) for the West Virginia Board of Medicine (WVBOM). The goal is to provide an off-the-shelf licensure/records product, content management database system, and cloud-based documentation program that will streamline WVBOM's operations in licensing, credentialing, renewals, discipline, and regulation. This initiative aims to enhance online capabilities through a fully integrated web-based application and renewal system operating from a single unified database.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a comprehensive database system and maintenance services. The system must be an off-the-shelf licensure/records product that includes features for content management and cloud-based documentation. It should facilitate operations related to licensing, credentialing, renewals, discipline, and regulation. The solution must be fully integrated and web-based, ensuring ease of access and functionality for users.

Specific requirements include:
- A unified database that supports all operational areas mentioned above.
- Maintenance services for the database system.
- Compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will be for five years, commencing on the effective start date as specified in the contract documents.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the West Virginia Board of Medicine located at 101 Dee Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be properly registered with the West Virginia Purchasing Division prior to contract award. They must also provide proof of necessary licenses or certifications upon request. Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability Insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence and Cyber Liability Insurance of $9 million per occurrence. Vendors must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
