Engineering Science Building, Pedestrian Bridge Replacement

Background
West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors (“BOG”) located in Morgantown, West Virginia (“WVU” or “University”) is initiating this Request for Bids (“RFB”) from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the comprehensive replacement of the Engineering Sciences Building (“ESB”) Pedestrian Bridge located on WVU's Evansdale Campus in Morgantown, WV. The ESB bridge has been in service since 1961 and has weathered years of corrosion and as a result has been deemed in need of replacement.

Comprehensive replacement of the Engineering Sciences Building (“ESB”) Pedestrian Bridge located on WVU's Evansdale Campus in Morgantown, WV. The project description includes details about the original construction of the ESB bridge, its current condition, and the need for replacement. Liquidated Damages shall be One Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.

The contract will be performed at West Virginia University's Evansdale Campus in Morgantown, WV.
