Davis Fine Arts- Mep Renovations

Background
The Davis Fine Arts MEP Renovations project is issued by the West Virginia State University. The goal of this contract is to renovate the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the Davis Fine Arts building to enhance functionality and compliance with current standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Complete renovation of mechanical systems including HVAC upgrades.
2. Electrical system upgrades to meet current codes and improve energy efficiency.
3. Plumbing system renovations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
4. All work must adhere to the specifications outlined in the attached documents, which detail materials, methods, and quality standards required for completion.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon receipt of a notice to proceed and must be completed within 160 days.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at West Virginia State University, specifically within the Davis Fine Arts building located at 301 Washington Ave, Dunbar, WV 25064.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on February 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the specified location. Bidders are required to submit a valid bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount with their proposal. Additionally, successful bidders must provide performance and labor/material payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract value prior to contract award. Vendors must also be licensed in good standing with all applicable state and local laws.
