Asbestos Abatement & Demolition of Multiple Structures

Background
The City of Morgantown, West Virginia, is issuing a solicitation for the asbestos abatement and demolition of multiple structures located at 565 Clark Street, 612 Arlington Street, and 2060 Lloyd Ave.
The goal of this contract is to safely remove asbestos and demolish the specified buildings as part of the city's development and safety initiatives.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Conducting asbestos abatement in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Demolishing the structures located at 565 Clark Street, 612 Arlington Street, and 2060 Lloyd Ave.
3. Properly disposing of all debris and hazardous materials resulting from the demolition process.
4. Ensuring that all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by January 15, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the specified locations in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a current West Virginia contractor's license on the date of bid opening.
Bids must include a Bid Bond or certified cashier’s check payable to the City of Morgantown in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid.
