Weed Control Services

Background
The City of Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide Weed Control Services. The goal of this contract is to prevent or control unwanted and invasive plants across various city parks and recreational areas. The City intends to use the results of this bidding process to award a contract for these services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for vegetation control, including pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control, herbicide applications, and total kill at designated areas. The scope includes:

1. Vegetation control across park boundaries, tree rings, and fence lines (10 acres).
2. Pre-emergent application in mulch beds with solid beds of shrubs (24 acres).
3. Control in mulch beds with tree rings and big tree beds (60 acres).
4. Vegetation control for sidewalks, walkways, parking lot seams, curbs (19 acres).
5. Total kill in specified areas (5 acres).
6. Herbicide application across athletic fields and other park areas (180 acres).
7. Broadleaf weed control along boulevards (3 acres).

All applications must comply with federal and state environmental standards.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be for one year starting April 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025. There is an option for four additional one-year renewals upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations throughout the City of Green Bay parks and recreational areas.
