SWC Cropland Lease

Background
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS), Southern Wisconsin Center (SWC) is seeking bids for the lease of croplands located at 21425 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182. The goal of this contract is to award a lease for a total acreage of 214.33 acres, which may be subject to adjustments due to construction or property sale. This contract aims to ensure proper management and utilization of the cropland.

Work Details
The successful bidder will be responsible for leasing all available cropland and must bid a price per acre, per year for each of the five contract years. The Lessee's responsibilities include:

- Controlling noxious weeds
- Applying fertilizers
- Maintaining existing cropland borders
- Repairing drain tile segments up to fifty feet
- Complying with conservation plans
- Providing soil sample test results at the end of each crop year
- Growing only corn, soybeans, and/or wheat
- Harvesting and clearing land at the end of each crop year.

The Southern Wisconsin Center will provide contract administration and coordinate maintenance efforts.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a five-year period from the date it is signed by both parties.

The lease will be performed on croplands located at 21425 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must not subcontract or assign any part of the contract without prior written approval from DHS. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to engage with Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Veteran-Owned Businesses (VB), Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (DVB), and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) as part of their proposal.
