General
The Village of Roberts is in need of engineering services for 1) grant application assistance and 2) design and construction phase services including grant administration, for approximately one mile of sidewalk improvements throughout the Village. Both the design and construction of the project are potentially being funded through the WisDOT federally funded TAP STAR grant.

Background
The Village of Roberts, Wisconsin, is seeking engineering services for sidewalk improvements funded through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Safe Transportation Alternatives for Rural Schools (STAR) grant.
The project aims to enhance pedestrian access and safety for students walking or biking to Roberts Elementary School.
Work Details
The contractor will provide grant application assistance and design and construction phase services, including grant administration, for approximately one mile of sidewalk improvements throughout the Village.
The project includes expanding the current sidewalk network to connect a park, a mobile home park, and multiple neighborhoods to the school.
Key components include curb extensions to facilitate safe crossings on Division Street, which is the main arterial route in Roberts.
The project must comply with federal and state regulations, including environmental documentation and participation in the approved Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
Period of Performance
The project must commence within four years of the award date (June 4, 2024), with a completion deadline set for June 30, 2030.
