Roof Replacement at 330 West Mifflin Street, Madison, WI

Background
The City of Madison Engineering is soliciting bids for the roof replacement project at 330 West Mifflin Street, Madison, WI. This project aims to replace the existing roof of a ~3,673 square-foot building located centrally in Madison, near the federal court building. The work is intended to comply with the City of Madison Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and includes all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Removing the existing roof (gravel, pavers, EPDM, flashing, and sheet metal) and hauling it off-site for disposal.
- Reviewing existing insulation (assumed to be 2.75" EPS and 0.5" perlite).
- Removing and replacing damaged or wet insulation.
- Installing new EPDM roofing over insulation.
- Flashing all existing walls and penetrations (approximately 15 penetrations).
- Ensuring that existing equipment and piping remain in place.
- Using a fully adhered system for the lower roof portion and a ballasted roofing system for the upper roof area.
- Installing new pre-finished 24 ga. sheet metal coping, roof edge, and counter flashing.

All work must meet specifications outlined in Attachment A – Specifications (Sections 07 53 23 and 07 62 00). The contractor is responsible for confirming roofing area sizes and coordinating with other contractors as necessary.

Period of Performance
The work is planned for Spring - Summer 2025 with a completion deadline of July 31, 2025.
