Work Details
The Contractor shall provide one (1) Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance, staffed and equipped, available 24/7/365 to respond to emergency medical calls throughout the area served by Richland County EMS. A second ambulance should be available during peak times.
The Contractor will also provide Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) services and quarterly reports to Richland County Supervisors detailing call volumes, types of calls, community engagement activities, and average response times. The proposal must ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and include plans for community support programs such as CPR training. Additionally, it should account for the scheduled replacement of ambulances and essential medical equipment.
Period of Performance
The anticipated start date for the ambulance service is January 1, 2027. The contract is expected to be awarded for a minimum of three years, preferably five years.
