Background
Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is seeking qualified vendors to provide professional tutoring services for students in grades four through eight. The goal of this contract is to assist eligible students in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to meet and exceed fundamental skills and standards.
The services will be phased in for 9th grade students by the estimated school year 2027-2028.
Work Details
The contractor will provide the following tutoring services:
1. One-to-One or small group (up to four students) in-person reading tutoring for students in grades four through eight.
2. One-to-One or small group (up to four students) in-person mathematics tutoring for students in grades four through eight.
3. Virtual tutoring program for One-to-One or small group (up to four students) in reading or math for students in grades four through eight.
Services are required at various times including before, during, and after school, weekends, and summer at MPS sites or agreed-upon locations. Providers must participate in school events such as Open Houses and Parent Conference nights as part of the core services.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from the date of execution through an initial term with options to extend for up to two additional one-year terms, contingent upon mutual consent and Board approval.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various Milwaukee Public Schools sites or other agreed-upon locations within Milwaukee.

All providers must be locally based for in-person tutoring services. Respondents are not required to provide all formats and types of tutoring but must comply with all minimum respondent qualifications outlined in the RFP.
