Jordan Park West Lodge Steel Roof Installation

Background
The County of Portage, Wisconsin, through its Purchasing Department, is seeking bids for the removal of the old roof and installation of a new steel roof on the West Lodge at Jordan County Park. The project aims to enhance the facility's durability and aesthetic appeal while ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Remove and haul away all existing shingles and roofing materials.
2. Clean up the site post-project completion.
3. Replace sheeting and flashing as required.
4. Replace fascia, soffit, and edge with commercial metal matching the selected roof color.
5. Install 6-inch seamless gutters on the front of the building.
6. Install full-size, clamp-on metal snow bars on the front of the building.
7. Install an ice and water barrier such as Grace Ice and Water Shield or a comparable product.
8. Install a 26-gauge commercial standing seam roof with sealant in seams, adhering to manufacturer specifications (residential panels are not acceptable).
9. Ensure that the roof finish uses Kynar paint systems standard colors, providing a sample chart and warranty information upon submission.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2025, or upon job completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Jordan County Park, located at 1770 CR Y, Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide references from three firms for similar services provided in the past five years to comparable-sized institutions or companies. The awarded contractor must maintain a Certificate of Insurance with specified minimum limits throughout the contract term and comply with worker's compensation insurance requirements as per Wisconsin Statutes.
