Glen Hills Dam Drawdown Gate Replacement

Background
St. Croix County is seeking bids for the replacement of the Glen Lake Dam drawdown gate, located at Glen Hills County Park, 1028 Rustic Road 4, Glenwood City, WI 54013. The existing drawdown gate was installed in 1967 and has become non-operational due to corrosion and lack of use. The county's mission is to maintain the integrity of its infrastructure while ensuring environmental considerations are met.

Work Details
The project involves replacing the existing 30"W x 48"H cast iron drawdown gate with a new stainless-steel gate. The new gate will be installed approximately 32 feet down in the gate well. Additionally, the drawdown pipe that connects to the gate is 36 inches in diameter and 80 feet long. St. Croix County will handle all necessary permits from zoning and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The contractor must ensure that enough water remains in Glen Lake to support local fishery and aquatic life during repairs.

Period of Performance
The county aims to commence repairs on or around October 1, 2025, with a completion deadline set for May 1, 2026.
