Background
The University of Wisconsin-Superior (UW-Superior) is seeking bids for Athletic Training and Strength and Conditioning services aimed at supporting approximately 350 student-athletes on campus. This initiative is part of the university's commitment to enhance the athletic experience and ensure the well-being of its student-athletes.
Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive Athletic Training services, which include:
1. On-site evaluation and immediate care of injuries/health problems for all NCAA sponsored athletics.
2. Coordination of sports medicine services with other healthcare providers and University-employed personnel.
3. Management of NCAA medical compliance records, including pre-participation requirements.
4. Administration of a Concussion Management Plan, including baseline testing for all student-athletes.
5. Preventive and rehabilitative care under the direction of a team physician or registered physical therapist.
6. Daily training services such as preventive care, injury assessment, rehabilitation, and readiness evaluations for sports participation.
7. Event coverage for home and away contests in contact/collision sports, as well as routine training services.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on a mutually agreed date and will span 10 months, covering the athletic season.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus and at various locations for away games as required.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have an online profile with JAGGAER to submit their proposals electronically. They are required to provide a client list of three firms to which similar services have been provided in the past three years, along with certifications regarding their business classification (e.g., MBE, DVB). Additionally, bidders must comply with all NCAA guidelines related to sports medicine.
