WSDOT RTS Modernization Programs RFP - Draft to Indusry for Review

Background
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking feedback from the Tolling Vendor community on the draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Roadway Toll Systems Modernization Programs. The goal of this initiative is to modernize the toll systems in Washington State, enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness. WSDOT values vendor feedback as it prepares to issue a final RFP, aiming to incorporate insights from industry experts.

Work Details
The RFP outlines the need for design, installation, integration, testing, operation, and maintenance of roadway toll systems. Key components include:

- Acceptance Testing to ensure systems meet performance measures post-toll commencement.
- Installation of Access Points for vehicle entry/exit on express toll lanes.
- Provision of Accessory Equipment that connects toll equipment to WSDOT infrastructure.
- Development of Additional Roadway Toll Systems for future expansion.
- Implementation of Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) and Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) systems for efficient toll collection.
- Maintenance and Operations services to ensure continuous system functionality.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over a specified period following the issuance of the final RFP. Timelines for various phases including design, installation, and operational commencement are yet to be defined.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed across designated roadways in Washington State, specifically focusing on areas such as I-405 and SR 167 express toll lanes.

Bidder Requirements
