WIC Cascades - re-post

Background
The State of Washington Department of Health (DOH) is seeking qualified contractors to provide system maintenance for the WIC Management Information System (MIS), known as WIC Cascades.

This system is critical for the administration of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), which provides nutritious foods to eligible individuals at nutritional risk. The DOH oversees this program and manages WIC benefits through local health agencies.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for Maintenance, Operation, and Enhancement (M&O+E) of the WIC Cascades system. Key tasks include:
- Maintaining system functionality and security to meet user needs.
- Integrating with external systems such as third-party EBT technology.
- Supporting clinic-level operations including appointment scheduling, participant certification, benefit issuance, and vendor management.
- Ensuring accurate data capture for both participants and vendors.
- Providing ongoing updates in response to changes in federal guidance and enhancing user experience.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon execution and continue through February 17, 2030. The term may be extended up to two additional years at DOH's discretion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the State of Washington, specifically supporting local health agencies and clinics that administer the WIC program.
