Washington MESA Strategic Plan Consultant

Background
University of Washington on behalf of Washington MESA seeks to contract with a strategic planning firm to develop the WA MESA 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. Washington MESA is a statewide organization committed to building pathways to college and careers in science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) for traditionally underserved minority (URM) students. The organization has been serving women and targeted BIPOC populations since 1984 and currently serves approximately 2,253 students in grades 6 – 12.

Work Details
The consultant will work with WA MESA to review the mission and vision, identify goals, actions, and resources to grow as an organization over the next five to ten years. The consultant will facilitate meetings with various stakeholders, collect feedback and data, develop action plans and project plans, and develop a rollout presentation for the new strategic plan. The project is expected to start in June 2024 and conclude by January 2025.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to last approximately four to six months from spring to winter 2024. It is tentatively scheduled to begin on or about June 1, 2024, with a draft strategic plan due by early December 2024 and final plan deliverables due by January 2025.

Place of Performance
The geographic locations for the contract performance include Spokane, Pullman, and Everett in Washington state.
