Twanoh State Park Food & Beverage Concession

Background
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission (State Parks) is seeking proposals to identify qualified individuals or businesses to operate and manage a food and beverage concession at Twanoh State Park, located near Union, WA on Hood Canal.

The purpose of this concession agreement is to provide quality services, programs, and facilities that enhance the convenience, enjoyment, education, and recreational experiences of State Parks visitors. This competitive solicitation aims to find a vendor who can meet the expectations of the park's visitors.

Work Details
The selected vendor will operate from a 748 square foot concession building located in the day use area of Twanoh State Park. The vendor is expected to provide a variety of food and beverage items including candy, ice cream, beach-appropriate toys, and espresso beverages.

The contractor will be responsible for utilities such as electricity, water, and garbage/recycling services. They must also provide their own internet/WIFI. The operational schedule includes weekends only in May and daily service from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day with core hours from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Period of Performance
The contract period is tentatively scheduled to begin on or about May 15, 2025, lasting up to five years with the possibility of one additional five-year term.
