Sprinkler System Testing & Obstruction/Gauge Maintenance

Background
The City of Redmond, Washington is soliciting bids for Sprinkler System Testing & Obstruction/Gauge Maintenance services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and compliance of sprinkler systems across various city facilities, aligning with the City’s mission to maintain public safety and infrastructure integrity.

Work Details
The contractor will provide annual sprinkler inspection and testing services, which include:

- Comprehensive walk-through inspections of sprinkler systems
- Main drain tests
- Inspector’s tests
- Riser control valves testing
- Tamper switches testing
- Double check valve tamper switches testing

Additionally, obstruction testing and gauge maintenance/replacement are required. Reports detailing the work must be submitted and entered into The Compliance Engine for applicable sites. The specific city sites include:

- Redmond Senior and Community Center
- Public Safety Building
- Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village
- Old Fire House/Teen Center
- Parks Operations Buildings 8 and 12
- Trinity Building
- Fire Stations #11 through #18
- Perrigo Park
- Watershed Preserve Restroom
- Downtown Park
- Various well sites.

All inspections must conform to NFPA 25 standards and local regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for one year from May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026. The City reserves the right to exercise four one-year renewal terms for a maximum total term of five years.

Services will be performed at various locations within the City of Redmond including but not limited to:

- Redmond Senior and Community Center (8703 160th Ave NE)
- Public Safety Building (8701 160th Ave NE)
- Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village (6505 176th Ave NE)
- Old Fire House/Teen Center (16510 NE 79th St.)
- Parks Operations Buildings (18120 NE 76th St.)
- Multiple Fire Stations located throughout Redmond
- Perrigo Park (9011 196th Ave NE)
- Watershed Preserve Restroom (21760 Novelty Hill Road)
- Downtown Park (16101 Redmond Way)
- Several well sites.
