South Cloverdale Road Imp Project - South Cloverdale Road - Confer Road Intersection Imp Project

Background
The South Cloverdale Road Improvement Project and the South Cloverdale - Confer Road Intersection Improvement Project are being conducted by Cowlitz County's Department of Public Works. The projects aim to enhance road safety and infrastructure in the region, focusing on traffic control, environmental protection, and overall roadway improvements.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of services including:

- Temporary traffic control
- Erosion control
- Water pollution prevention
- Clearing and grubbing
- Shoring
- Roadway excavation and structural fill
- Installation of storm drain pipes, culverts, and inlets
- Removal of existing culverts and concrete box culverts
- Installation of steel structural plate arch culverts and three-sided concrete box culverts with concrete footings, wingwalls, and headwalls.

Additional tasks include:

- Temporary stream diversion
- Stream reconstruction
- Installation of new water mains and services
- Planing pavement
- Roadway paving
- Guardrail installation
- Associated work.

Specific bid items include:
1) Force Account Minor Changes;
2) Structure Surveying;
3) SPCC Plan;
4) Traffic Control Supervisor;
5) Flaggers (3,300 hours);
6) Clearing and Grubbing;
7) Roadway Excavation (1,845 C.Y.);
8) Rock Excavation (500 C.Y.);
9) Structural Fill (38,350 Ton);
10) HMA Class 3/8 Inch PG 58H-22 (2,300 Ton); among others.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award in March 2025 and will continue until all work is completed as per the contract specifications.

Place of Performance
Cowlitz County, Washington.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered contractors in compliance with RCW 18.27. They must have a current Washington Unified Business Identifier (UBI), Industrial Insurance coverage for employees working in Washington, a Washington Employment Security Department number, and a Washington Department of Revenue state excise tax registration number. Bidders are also required to comply with federal E-Verify requirements.
