Sidewalk Repairs-Avondale Way

Background
The City of Redmond, Washington, is seeking bids for the construction of sidewalk repairs on Avondale Way as part of Project No. 2429. The project aims to enhance community livability and environmental sustainability through improved infrastructure.

Work Details
The work to be performed includes the construction of approximately 1,500 linear feet of sidewalk improvements. This encompasses site preparation, removal of existing infrastructure, tree removal, installation of curb and gutter, ADA ramps, driveways, asphalt pavement, pavement marking, signing, landscaping, property restoration, and other necessary work to complete the project.

The engineer's estimate for this work ranges from $950,000 to $1,150,000.

Period of Performance
All physical work must be completed within the timeframe specified in Section 1-08.5 of the contract provisions.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Redmond, Washington.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashier’s check or surety bid bond payable to the City of Redmond for no less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount including sales tax and all listed additives and alternates.

There is a mandatory apprentice utilization requirement of 15% as per City ordinance 3159 and Redmond Municipal Code 15.28. Bidders are encouraged to register with Builders Exchange of Washington to receive notifications about addenda.
