RFP - Island County Jail Feasibility Study

Background
Island County is seeking proposals from qualified consultants for a comprehensive jail feasibility study. The study will assess the current state of the county's entire correctional system, including juvenile services, and shall account for future needs and projected growth. The goal is to identify the most effective and efficient solution to meet long-term community needs, considering design, construction, and operating factors.

Work Details
The jail feasibility study will analyze potential solutions for the county's jail needs, culminating in a comprehensive report with actionable recommendations. This includes evaluating existing facilities, planning for new jail facilities, projecting future needs, evaluating current state and federal requirements, providing detailed building and site information for all considered options, and establishing a clear timeline for project completion.

Period of Performance
A contract awarded from this RFP will be for a period of not to exceed one year and is intended to begin on the date of the Notice of Award. Island County reserves the right to extend the contract resulting from this RFP for a period of two (2) six (6) month terms.

Place of Performance
Contract performance may take place in Island County’s facilities, the applicant’s facilities, a third-party location, or any combination thereof.
