Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of services including:
1. **Advocacy Services**: Develop and implement a federal legislative agenda, lobby decision-makers, provide monthly written reports, and maintain regular contact with congressional delegation and federal agencies.
2. **Monitoring and Reporting Services**: Monitor congressional actions, attend stakeholder meetings, and prepare status reports on relevant issues.
3. **Grant Appropriations Services**: Inform the county of grant opportunities and assist in securing federal grants across various priority areas such as criminal justice, environmental protection, housing, health, and transportation.
4. **Coalition Building Services**: Identify key relationships within national organizations to support the county’s legislative agenda.
5. **Other Duties**: Maintain communication with the Federal Affairs Manager and support executive priorities as needed.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for five years from the date of acceptance by King County.
Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed in Washington D.C., where interactions with Congress and federal agencies will occur. However, work may also be conducted remotely or within King County as necessary.
