Work Details
The contract includes the installation of RapidRide Stations along King County Metro Route 160. This encompasses roadway modifications, signal adjustments, utility upgrades, and channelization changes to enhance bus operations. Specific tasks include:
- Installation of new bus stations in Renton, Kent, and Auburn.
- Modifications to existing roadways to accommodate bus lanes and stops.
- Upgrades to traffic signals for improved bus priority.
- Utility relocations as necessary for construction.
- Channelization improvements to facilitate smoother bus movements.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is set for 610 days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP), with an additional 150 days allocated for closeout after substantial completion.

Work will be performed at various locations along King County Metro Transit Route 160 within the rights-of-way of the City of Renton, City of Kent, City of Auburn, and adjacent private properties.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with a minimum Small Business Enterprise (SBE) requirement of 20%. Additionally, there are apprenticeship requirements including a minimum utilization rate of 15% for apprentices and specific hiring goals for priority hire apprentices and journey-level workers.
