RapidRide I Line Bus Rapid Transit Improvements

Background
The RapidRide I Line Bus Rapid Transit Improvements project is initiated by King County Metro, aimed at enhancing Route 160 through the installation of RapidRide Stations in the cities of Renton, Kent, and Auburn.
The project also encompasses modifications to roadways, signals, utilities, and channelization to improve bus movements as outlined in the Contract Documents.

Work Details
The contract includes the installation of RapidRide Stations along King County Metro Route 160 and modifications to existing infrastructure.
Specific tasks include:
- Installation of RapidRide Stations in Renton, Kent, and Auburn.
- Modifications to roadways and traffic signals to facilitate improved bus access.
- Upgrades to utilities and channelization for efficient bus movements.
- Coordination with local agencies for construction activities and adherence to municipal codes.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is set for 610 days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP), with an additional 150 days allocated for Closeout/Final Acceptance after achieving Substantial Completion.

Place of Performance
Work will be conducted at various locations along King County Metro Transit Route 160 within the rights-of-way of the City of Renton, City of Kent, City of Auburn, and adjacent private properties.
