Description

The purpose of this RFI is to request vendor feedback on proposed specifications for exterior and interior paint, paint options, and paint supplies.
Background
The State of Washington is developing specifications for a new statewide contract for architectural paint, including both exterior and interior options, as well as primers and painting supplies. This contract aims to serve state agencies and qualifying organizations that have signed the Contracts Usage Agreement (CUA). The expected sales volume is currently unknown as this will be a new contract.

Work Details
The contract will encompass the following products and services:
1. **Paint Specifications**: Compliance with ASTM standards for scrub resistance, low-emitting materials, and washability properties.

2. **Interior Paint**: A full range of products suitable for various surfaces with multiple finishes, low-VOC options, a minimum of 1,000 color choices, and specialty paints like antimicrobial formulations.

3. **Exterior Paint**: Products suitable for wood, brick, stucco, metal, and concrete with excellent weather resistance and a minimum of 500 color options.

4. **Primer**: Interior and exterior primers with specified VOC content and coverage requirements.

5. **Ordering and Delivery**: Maintain inventory for prompt delivery within Washington State; guarantee delivery within 3 business days for standard orders.

6. **Samples and Testing**: Provide quart samples upon request; performance testing may be conducted on samples submitted.

7. **Warranty**: Minimum warranties of 5 years for interior paint and 10 years for exterior paint against peeling, cracking, and fading.

8. **Sustainability Initiatives**: Information on sustainability programs related to production, packaging, disposal, and recycling programs for empty containers must be provided.
