Background
The City of Redmond, Washington, is seeking Statements of Qualification from experienced engineering firms for on-call water and wastewater engineering services to support its Public Works Department.

Redmond is a suburb of Seattle, known for its residential and employment growth driven by a strong technology sector. The city covers over 17 square miles and is projected to grow significantly in the next 20 years, increasing from approximately 77,000 residents and 99,000 jobs today to an estimated 152,000 residents and 131,000 jobs by 2050. The total amount for task orders under this contract is capped at $3,000,000, with the intention to select three qualified firms.

Work Details
The scope of work includes various task order-based engineering services such as:
- Updating and running the City’s Water Model
- Updating and running the City’s Sewer Model
- Assisting with SCADA upgrades
- Updating the Water and Wastewater Electronic Operation and Maintenance Manual
- Addressing issues related to Sewer and Water Pump Stations
- Performing waterline and sewer pipe design
- Providing construction inspection services
- Assisting with reservoir issues
- Conducting miscellaneous survey tasks
- Peer reviewing construction plans related to development applications
- Assessing existing water and wastewater systems
- Providing drafting services
- Preparing cost estimates
- Supporting City staff at meetings.

Task orders will be administered by a designated Project Manager from the Public Works Department.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of two years with two optional one-year renewal terms, allowing for a maximum total duration of four years. The main task order timeframe is set from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of the City of Redmond, Washington.
