Background
The City of Seattle, through Seattle Public Utilities (SPU), is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified Consultant Teams to provide On-Call Land Surveying Services. This initiative aims to support the Seattle Department of Transportation's (SDOT) goals for infrastructure improvements, including pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and roadway enhancements over the next decade. Work Details
The contract will encompass a variety of land surveying services including:
- Project Management of Work
- Conventional Land Surveying/Topographic Survey
- Laser Scanning and Mapping
- Subsurface Utility Locating (including potholing) and Mapping
- Rights of Entry
- UAS Photogrammetry/LiDAR
- Bathymetric Surveys
- Boundary Surveys
- Legal Descriptions with Exhibit Maps
- Control Surveys
- Settlement Monitoring
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Work
- Traffic Control Plans for Street Use Permit.
Specific elements expected in Right-of-Way surveys include detailed mapping of traffic signals, pavement markings, curbs, sidewalks, vegetation, utilities, and more. Deliverables will include base map drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D format and integrated digital terrain models.
Period of Performance
The initial contract period is three years with an estimated value of $600,000 per contract. There is an option to extend for an additional two years with an estimated $400,000 based on performance evaluations at the end of the third year. The total duration shall not exceed five years.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the City of Seattle and surrounding areas as required by individual work assignments.
Bidder Requirements
Consultants must comply with the City’s women- and minority-owned business enterprise (WMBE) program requirements. They are required to submit a meaningful Inclusion Plan that demonstrates good faith efforts to include WMBE firms in their team. Additionally, all consultants must have a valid Seattle Business License and a State of Washington business license prior to contract execution.
