Background
Skagit County Facilities Management is seeking bids for drain cleaning and plumbing services for various county facilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure that necessary plumbing services are readily available to maintain the functionality of county buildings, including the Juvenile Detention Center and the Community Justice Center. The contractor will be expected to respond promptly to service requests, particularly in emergencies.
Work Details
The contractor shall provide drain cleaning or plumbing services as requested at Skagit County Facilities, including but not limited to:
1) Juvenile Detention, 605 S 3rd Street, Mount Vernon, WA;
2) Community Justice Center, 201 Suzanne Lane, Mount Vernon, WA;
and other locations as directed by Facilities Management. Services include:
- Drain cleaning and plumbing repairs during normal business hours (anticipated 90% of work).
- Emergent response required within 24 hours or sooner if requested.
- Work cannot commence until a schedule is provided and an official notice to proceed is issued.
- Various vendor services with prevailing wage rates for straight time, overtime, and holiday work. Specific rates include:
- Straight Work Time: $XX per hour
- Overtime Work Time: $XX per hour
- Sunday and Holiday Work Time: $XX per hour
- Additional services such as video inspections and machine operations with specified hourly costs.
Period of Performance
The contracted services are set to begin on April 23, 2026, for a duration of one year with an option to extend for an additional year.
