The work under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, incidentals, superintendents, subcontractor coordination and overhead to perform tipping floor resurfacing. The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install 2 depth of Met-Top E abrasion resistant material as per the Technical Data Sheet directions for use in designated areas. The Contractor will supply the abrasion resistant floor topping using pre-mixed, ready to use Met-Top E, a high strength emery aggregate based topping with Bond Coat outlined in 3.b.1 that includes Metco Low-Mod Epoxy and quartz aggregate over concrete base slabs at locations indicated on the reference drawings as well as barriers to delineate work areas. The Contractor will also furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to clean, wash, and prepare the existing surface before applying resurfacing material. The Contractor will also furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the curing process and saw cutting of joints after applying the resurfacing material. The contractor shall request a Metalcrete Industries technical service representative to provide on-site assistance during floor topping installation.
Background
The contract is issued by the King County Solid Waste Division, responsible for managing waste disposal and recycling services in the region. The goal of this contract is to address significant wear and safety concerns on the tipping floors at three recycling transfer stations: Factoria, Vashon, and Enumclaw. The resurfacing work aims to restore the floors to a safe and functional condition using Met-Top E abrasive resistant topping material.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, incidentals, superintendents, subcontractor coordination, and overhead necessary for resurfacing the tipping floors. This includes:

1. Installation of a minimum 2-inch depth of Met-Top E abrasion resistant material over approximately 10,100 square feet at Factoria Recycling Transfer Station (FRTS), 1,890 square feet at Vashon Recycling Transfer Station (VRTS), and 6,500 square feet at Enumclaw Recycling & Transfer Station (ERTS). No substitutions are allowed for the Met-Top E material.

2. Surface cleaning and preparation including milling/water blasting/shot blasting prior to applying the resurfacing material.

3. Curing process and saw cutting of joints after applying the resurfacing material.

4. Requesting on-site assistance from a Metalcrete Industries technical service representative during installation.

5. Compliance with King County Solid Waste Division standards as outlined in technical specifications.

Period of Performance
The work at FRTS must be completed within 31 days in two phases with 7 days of cure time for each phase. VRTS work must be completed within 14 days including cure time. ERTS work must also be completed within 31 days in two phases with similar cure times.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at three locations:

1. Factoria Recycling Transfer Station - 13800 SE 32nd St, Bellevue, WA 98005

2. Vashon Recycling Transfer Station - 18900 Westside Highway SW, Vashon, WA 98070

3. Enumclaw Transfer Station - 1650 Battersby Ave E, Enumclaw, WA 98022.
