Kitsap Lake Stormwater Treatment Retrofit

Background
The City of Bremerton, Washington, is issuing this contract for the Kitsap Lake Stormwater Treatment Retrofit project. The goal of this contract is to enhance stormwater management near Kitsap Lake, aligning with the agency's mission to improve environmental conditions and infrastructure in the area. This project is anticipated to be partially funded by the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Work Details
The contract involves the installation of four Biopod stormwater treatment vaults and two Stormfilter stormwater treatment vaults located near Kitsap Lake along Kitsap Way and Osprey Circle. The scope of work includes:

- Temporary traffic control
- Demolition
- Removal and replacement of stormwater pipes and catch basins
- Grading
- Furnishing and installing precast concrete treatment vaults and hydrodynamic separators
- Reconstruction of the roadway using hot mix asphalt
- Pavement markings
- Curb ramps
- Driveways
- Landscape restoration

All work must comply with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the latest WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 100 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for this contract is near Kitsap Lake along Kitsap Way and Osprey Circle in Bremerton, Washington.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid proposal deposit equal to 5% of their bid amount in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for 100% of the Contract Price. Bidders should also be aware of apprentice utilization requirements as described in Special Provision 1-07.9(3).
