Holden Natural Drainage System (NDS) (RE-BID)

Scope of Work:
The Holden Natural Drainage System (NDS) project calls for the enhancement of water quality treatment for street runoff by retrofitting the roadsides with bioretention treatment systems. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to:

• Construction stormwater erosion control, including submittal, implementation, and maintenance of Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (CSECP/SWPPP, TVSPP, SP, & TDP)
• Preparation of a health and safety plan
• Clearing and grubbing of the project area
• Demolition and removal of existing surface pavement, sidewalks, and curbs
• Excavation activities
• Development and execution of a temporary traffic control plan, including flagging
• Site preparation and staging
• Survey work
• Removal and abandonment of existing drainage structures and piping
• Dewatering and temporary stormwater bypass
• Protection, relocation, and/or adjustments of existing utilities, including water and gas services
• Reconnection to the existing drainage system
• Installation of new surface drainage systems, such as storm drainage piping, drainage structures, bioretention cells, and modular structural soil cell tree facilities
• Flow testing
• Assisting SPU crews with water service and meter box relocations/adjustments
• Television inspections
• Final site restoration, including surface paving, pavement markings, sidewalks, curbs, driveways, curb ramps, final planting, and landscape construction

The project is a re-bid and is located on SW Holden St between 16th Ave SW and 18th Ave SW in the City of Seattle. The engineer's estimate for this project is $1,178,000.00.
