Flowery Trail Seed Orchard HFR - Phase 2

Background
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is initiating this solicitation under the Good Neighbor Authority for silvicultural land management services on federally managed lands.

The project aims to treat logging slash in the Flowery Trail Seed Orchard located within the Colville National Forest, specifically targeting approximately 10 acres of land. The goal is to enhance forest health and reduce wildfire risks through mechanical mastication.

Work Details
The contractor will perform Mechanical Fuels Reduction work, which involves treating logging slash using mechanical mastication methods across approximately 9.9 acres in the Flowery Trail Seed Orchard.

Specific details regarding treatment units and locations are provided in Exhibit B of the Draft Contract. Bidders are advised to examine these treatment units prior to submitting a bid. The work must minimize damage to leave trees, and bidders must specify the type and size of equipment to be used, including the masticating head.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will continue until October 31, 2024. All work must be completed by this date.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed in Pend Oreille County, Washington, specifically within the Colville National Forest.
